About us – page 2

The economic and social circumstances in Nepal are difficult; And not just where the effects of the earthquake can still be felt. Civil war, poverty and a still rigid caste system make people victims and, as always, children are the most vulnerable. Even if there is still family, it is not a matter of course that they will even begin to meet their children’s needs – neglect is the result. Boys and girls alike end up on the streets; in Kathmandu alone there are more than 5000 street children today. We think that should not go on like this.

Our goal is clear:
Realizing a better life for children in Nepal.

With a focus on street children, orphans and family support to strengthen them so that children do not end up on the street: protect street children, strengthen parents and raise awareness.

We work with various organizations on sustainable programs and provide food, education and equipment for equipment, stoves and solar systems.

We support the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (extract): Article 9 (Separation from parents): “A child is not separated against the will of its parents unless the separation is necessary for the child’s best interests. Children who are separated from one or both parents have the right to maintain regular personal relationships and direct contact with both parents. Article 27 (Adequate standard of living): “Children have the right to a standard of living that is appropriate to their physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development”.

The beginning: by December 2017 we had almost € 14,000. collected. More than 80 people have supported us with their donations of $ 5 to $ 1,000. All the money went to Laxmi Subedi and her children so that, among other things, an apartment for 2 years including electricity could be rented.

Our vision is a life in Nepal in which children and women live safely, protected, healthy and happy. In everything we do, we work to ensure that orphans, street children and women in need have a safe space to survive, grow and thrive.

We do this through various projects such as programs for street children or children who are without support, as well as rejected children. Our goal is to create a safe place that helps to strengthen and support the future. And if everything goes well, then back home with the family.

We take this task personally, because each of us – a group of 7 people in Germany and the United States – has his own relationship with this magical but fateful country. We started, but now we need your help to change something. As a supporting member or as a donor, you can make a big difference.

It is also important for us to mention that we support the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (extract): Article 9 (Separation from parents): “A child will not be separated from their parents against the will of their parents unless the separation is necessary for the good of the child. Children who are separated from one or both parents have the right to maintain regular personal relationships and direct contact with both parents. Article 27 (Adequate standard of living): “Children have the right to a standard of living that is appropriate to their physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development”.

Past: By December 2017 we raised almost 14.000 €. Over 80 people donated from 5 USD to 1000 USD! All of the money has been used for Laxmi and her kids including covering the costs for the apartment: 2 years rent and electricity.
